Description

Easy-to-use and powerful clipboard manager

Clipboard Center is an easy-to-use and powerful clipboard manager. Through a history, lists and a flexible UI, this app allows you to copy and paste texts, images, and files in the most efficient way.

• Capture the Clipboard
Every text, image, and file copied in your apps will be added seamlessly to the history from the moment you enable clipboard capture.

• Paste efficiently
Each entry and even a selection of entries can be pushed by a simple click in the current clipboard.

• Manage your clipboard with lists and labels
The lists allow you to save and to organize the clipboard items. Each entry will be unique: Clipboard Center controls duplicated items.
As for the labels, they will help you to find easily an entry within a list.

• Blacklist
For purposes which may be security and readability, you can prevent to capture copies done in a particular app.

• A window with multiple behaviors
The app's window can be attached in the upper right corner or to the right side of your screen. This guarantees easy access on any desktops and above any full-screen apps.
You can also force the window to stay visible and on top of the other apps.

• Drag&drop
In addition to capture items from Clipboard, you can drag and drop images and texts from Clipboard Center on another app.

• Clipboard Center preserves the original data
An element of clipboard generally contains multiple representations of a copied item.
In fact, most apps provide a standard representation of their clipboards, usually a text or an image, but also others specific to these apps. Clipboard Center ensures that data will not be lost during the capture.

• Preview and edit
Each text and image are viewable in a preview window. The texts can also be edited directly in the app.

• Search
Clipboard Center offers a quick search among lists and history.

• Customizable
- There are three display modes: simple lists, lists grouped by apps, lists grouped by type
- You can configure the types of clipboard that will be captured (texts, rich texts, images, and files)
- The number of items in the history can be limited for better readability
- Customizable shortcuts to toggle app's window and capture
- Navigation with arrows and clipboard selection by number

Misrepresenting It Features

I paid seven dollars for the picture pasted above because the app itself does not lend itself to the format in picture. I then had to do what I should have done in the first instance, which is purchase iClips. I have a big project due Monday, 5:00pm, I needed some heavy duty support, which I am getting from iClips. Lesson learned sometimes you just have to fork over $20 to get the best. I thought it was too gaudy but once I positioned it at the top of computer, bingo. It fit my 27 inch screen and looks good. Consumers can make the bins small, medium or large. I just "love it" if loving an app is possible.

Long story short, I spent almost 30 dollars for an app/function that should have cost me only twenty bucks. My bad. Brenda Little

Mostly there, minor issues

Overall its a fantastic little tool. There is still an issue, however, when I plug/unplug an external monitor, the window “gets lost”, meaning that it no longer appears under the menubar icon. This also happens if my screen resolution changes. Either the window opens half-way off the screen (and I can’t move it), or it opens somewhere completely off screen. The only way to workaround is to kill the app and relaunch it. Annoying.

Also, a nice improvement would be to be able to lock certain lists with a password (that auto-locks itself again after a short time, like Keychains), and have it switch back to the History list after you paste an item from a locked list. If it did those 2 things, and the window positioning was fixed, it would be 5 stars for sure!

One last thing - with the default color theme, its sometimes hard to tell which item is highlighted. There’s just a thin, purple border around the item, which doesn’t stand out much. It would be nice to either make the selected item more prominent, or allow for different themes to be used.

Terrific… one minor improvement would have me giving it five stars!

I've used this over and over and over again… many times daily for dragging in frequently used text when on Flickr (managing user groups there) and so forth. The one improvement I'd like to see is maybe two??? The Clipboard center window must be alongside whatever window I'm putting text into in order to drag, drop without first making CC the active window and then going back to the app and making the app active in order to execute whatever after dragging/dropping.

IF the CC window is overlapping my web browser, when I click on the text I want to drag into a comment field for example, then CC becomes active and I have to return to the web browser window by clicking twice in it in order to register my comment.

Aside from that, I don't know how I lived without this app before! Cheers and thanks a bunch!!!
